Overview

Broadly, I am interested in ecological drivers of macroevolution, specifically predation.  I use various experimental methods including

3-D printing and mathematical modelling to understand predator-prey interactions as mechanisms which drove macroevolution.  I am interested in using functional morphology to understand adaptation to predation by combining the fossil record of shape with modern engineering principles.
